Inaugural lecture by Daniel Mügge

ACCESS EUROPE professor Daniel Mügge will give his inaugural speech on 16 June at the Agnietenkapel, in which he will explain all about his research on 'Fickle Formulas'.


The Fickle Formulas are ostensibly 'objective' macroeconomic indicators, like unemployment or inflation figures, that in fact are the particular consequence of political choices between different measures and methods to calculate economic performance. Daniel Mügge asks in his research: why do we use those numbers and where do they come from?
