Robert Cox

Robert H. Cox, professor at the University of South Carolina (USC), is ACCESS EUROPE Visiting Scholar from 5-19 November 2016. At USC, he is also director of the Walker Institute of International and Area studies.

Prof. Robert Cox is professor at the department of Political Science of the University of South Carolina, where he is also director of the Walker Institute of International and Area Studies. His research examines public policy issues in advanced industrialized societies. Many of his publications have examined the politics of welfare reform in European countries. His recent research focuses on the role of the European Union in promoting sustainability programs among its member states. View his USC profile

During his Visiting Scholarship in Amsterdam, he will be hosted by the department of political science of the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU).

Events

During his time with ACCESS EUROPE, he will organize two events:

  1.  A lunch lecture on the "path-breaking power of policy ideas". Monday 14 November from 12:00-14:00. Location: VU main building, third floor, Agora 4.
  2. Publishing workshop. "How to publish your work. Advice from an editor." Thursday 17 November at 15:00. Location: VU main building, first floor, 1G08.
